Decide what you teach
Pick an instrument or voice, and the levels you are comfortable with: complete beginners, grade exams, or adults returning to music. A narrow focus is easier for students to find.
Set up for sound
- Test your microphone and place it so students hear the instrument clearly.
- Use a second camera angle or a tilted laptop to show your hands.
- Record a short sample lesson to check the audio.
Write a profile that explains your approach
Say who you teach, how a first lesson works, and what students can play after a few weeks. Add a short clip if you can.
Offer a trial lesson
A short first session lets the student and you check fit. Agree in advance how much it costs.
Price and terms
Look at similar teachers, decide lesson length and cancellation notice, and review your rate as your reviews grow.
